United Synagogue Youth (USY), Kadima and Pre-Kadima are the youth movements of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. These youth groups are dedicated to creating a fun, educational environment which emphasizes Tikun Olam (saving the world), social action, Israeli and religious education, and finding one's Jewish identity. The organization is open to all Jewish teenagers and is comprised of a multitude of chapters throughout the United States and Canada. Chapters are the underlying foundation of these youth groups; they introduce middle and high schoolers to Pre-Kadima, Kadima, and USY and give them a taste of what these youth groups are all about. Manetto Hill's youth group chapter meets almost every Sunday (normal times are 5:30 - 7:00 for Pre-Kadima and Kadima and 7:30 - 9:00 for USY) for fun-filled chapter events. These events help Jewish teens connect with other teens in their area and are also the first step in becoming involved in USY and Kadima divisionally, regionally, and even internationally.  Don't miss out on USY, Kadima, and Pre-Kadima - you may just meet your future best friends there!

Manetto Hill Jewish Center's youth groups belongs to the Rakevet division of USY, which is comprised of Suffolk and eastern Nassau county. Rakevet plans monthly events throughout the year such as divisional lounge nights, dances and more. As a division, Rakevet also plans 2 kinnusim a year; Fall kinnus and Spring Kinnus. A Kinnus is a 3 day weekend, hosted by a local temple, in which USYers from all over the division gather together for the ultimate USY experience. Kinnus events include ruach, a dance, USY bonding activities, sichot, t'filot, and other fun programs. Rakevet Kinnusim are one of the best experiences USY has to offer! METNY (Metropolitan New York) Region consists of the Rakevet division, along with the three other New York divisions of Chazak, Kiryah, and Koach. METNY is in charge of all of USY in New York. METNY hosts a Regional Convention each year as well as Mid-Winter Kallah (A mid-year convention). METNY is probably best known for its annual encampment, an 8-day camp at Camp Ramah in the Berkshires. It starts right before school, usually in late August and is everything USY and Kadima have to offer, compact into 8 fun-filled days. Encampment is a great way to bond with USYers and Kadimaniks from across the NY region.  “We do in eight days what most camps do in 8 weeks!”
